Marcus, Adam, and Buzz...at it again. We are all much heavier than the first attempt. I wonder if we will make it this time. I feel like this might be the time that at least one of us makes some big changes. Losing weight does not constitute something great in and of itself. I believe the bigger victory is gaining more control over oneself.
This time around, we have upped the ante. The winner takes all! The losers each have to cough up $1,000. The loserest of losers, has to cough up an extra $250. We also added a wrinkle making it impossible for one of us to lose only a single pound and win. If none of us hits 25 lbs lost, then we all lose. Here is a breakdown:
The winner will be declared as he who loses the highest percentage of body mass (Δ -30 lbs starting at 300 lbs is 10%, Δ -30 starting at 330 lbs is 9.09%). As long as the winner has lost more than 25 lbs, the winner will receive $2,250 combined from the two losers. The 2nd place finisher will pay $1,000 and the last (3rd) place finisher will pay $1,250. If the winner does not lose more than 25 lbs, then all three of us will pay $1,000 each to a charity of the others' choosing. Combined with this, the other two will also choose a "public humiliation" a la Impractical Jokers. Also, we are adding a provision so that all three of us can win. If each of us hits our goal weight lost during the competition, then we will have a guys weekend and nobody owes anyone anything...just their presence for a great weekend.
Starting weights and pictures:
Adam - 316.1 lbs (Goal is 30 lbs lost)
Brian - 381.0 lbs (Goal is 50 lbs lost)
Marcus - 385.4 lbs (Goal is 30 lbs lost)
This could be great or embarrassing...we get to choose! Good luck guys!

After Week Four
This week was not a great one for any of us but we all are resolved to do much better this upcoming week. I was not feeling well, trying to deal with some emotional stressors in my life. I was able to hit a milestone...I'm down under 300 pounds for the first time in a long while. Adam continues to lose weight and is in a close second place. Marcus has some make-up to do as his family has been sick and he's been trying to help out in that respect.
